| It is vital to us at IEDP to be consistently abreast of the latest developments and initiatives occurring in the executive development world. We have created an Editorial Advisory Board made up of leading practitioners and academics from a wide variety of industries and regions to inform us of their experiences at "the coalface" and so help guide our editorial policy and help shape our other information services. Ltd; Singapore Andrew is the founder and managing director of Hemisphere Consulting Pte Ltd, a consultancy focusing on people strategies for business. He is also Managing Director of Asianic Psychologists Press Singapore, who organise training/certification and distribution of psychometric instruments including MBTI®, FIRO-B®, Strong Interest Inventory® , CPI 434™, CPI™, TKI, Benchmarks® and SKILLSCOPE® On behalf of The Conference Board, Andrew is the Program Director for the Asia Pacific H.R. Council. Before setting up his own business he was Senior Vice President Human Resources - East Asia Pacific, Unilever. Prior to joining Novartis, she worked for 7 years for Unisys Corporation in the USA, and prior to that, with Hay Management Consultants for 8 years, specialising in executive development and organisational change. She holds a bachelor of Science (BSc) Economics
from London University. Dr. AMY CARVER, PhD Consultant; former SVP and Director of the Integrated Performance Consulting practice, Wachovia; North Carolina, USA. Amy had responsibility for the talent management processes across the Wachovia footprint, supporting more than 85,000 employees and all lines of business. She managed the corporation’s Executive Leadership Program (ELP), recently recognized as a best practice in executive education by Training magazine, 2005. Amy left Wachovia in Spring 2005 to focus on her consulting interests developed over 15 years of corporate and consulting experience across a range of industries, including banking and finance, travel and aviation, defense, and government. She received her Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in
Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Rice University, Houston,
TX, and her B.A. in Psychology from Gannon University, Erie,
PA. She is a member of the American Psychological Association,
Society for Human Resource Management and the Society for IIndustrial
and Organizational Psychology BRIAN DIVE Managing Director, DMA Consultancy; Surrey, UK Brian is an internationally experienced and independent consultant, writer, trainer and presenter on issues relating to organisation design and effectiveness including all aspects of human resource and leadership development, management education and change management. He previously held a number of senior positions in Unilever in New Zealand, The Netherlands and the UK. Since 2000 he has run his own business, DMA Consultancy, out of the UK with clients in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. He has conducted assignments in over 60 countries. He has contributed a number of articles to magazines and journals. In 2004 the second edition of his book, “The Healthy Organization A Revolutionary Approach to People and Management” was published. training, development and leadership programs to the enterprise.
Prior to leading the University, he was in a Business Partner role
as Director of HR for all of Capital One's staff functions. Forbes
has a background in both consulting and academics, and prior to
joining Capital One he was on the faculty at the Darden Business
School, University of Virginia. He has worked with companies in
Europe, Asia and Latin America. GARETH JONES Head of Organisational Development, M&G Investments; London, UK Gareth is Head of Organisational Development
for M&G Investments,
Prudential's asset management business in the UK, Europe and South
Africa. His responsibilities cover executive development, business-wide
capability, e-learning, and Regulatory HR. Gareth has spent the
last 7 years in internal leadership development, and has also worked
with investment teams on building their understanding of the leadership
effectiveness within investee companies. Prior to that he ran a
management development consultancy, and early roles were in sales
and marketing and business conference management. He has an MA
in Modern Languages from Oxford. MICHAEL MOLINARO UBS Executive Director, Learning & Development Michael is Executive Director for Learning & Development
at UBS, a global investment banking and securities firm. Michael's
career has been focused on the Learning and OD space within the
financial services industry, having held senior level HR and training
positions at Drexel Burnham Lambert, Shearson Lehman Brothers,
and Deutsche Bank among other firms. Michael has a particular interest in the
application of technology within organizational systems development.
He has edited "How to Design Self-Directed and Distance Learning",
published by McGraw-Hill. American by birth, Michael now resides in
North London with his wife and children. Prof. Dr. DANICA PURG Dean & Director of IEDC-Bled School of Management and President of CEEMAN (Central and East European Management Development Association); Bled, Slovenia Professor Danica Purg is the founding and current director of the IEDC-Bled School of Management, Slovenia, and the first President of the Central and East European Management Development Association – CEEMAN. She is also chairperson and director of the European Leadership Centre – ELC, established with the aim of assessing and promoting European leadership through the organization of forums, workshops and research. Dr. Purg is professor of leadership and effective management at the IEDC-Bled School of Management, at the Polytechnic Nova Gorica, adjunct faculty at ESMT Berlin and visiting professor at Reykjavik University. Her special field of interest is looking for inspirations for
managers from art and other professions. JENNIFER PUESCHNER Senior Manager, Customer and Supply Chain Institute, Raytheon
and Jennifer is a Senior Manager in the Customer & Supply Chain
Institute. In this capacity, she serves as the Program Manager
for the Supply Chain Leadership Development Program and is responsible
for cultivating key relationships with nationally recognized academic
institutions to drive talent recruitment and development for Raytheon’s
Supply Chain organization She is a Six Sigma Expert currently supporting
Mission Assurance at Raytheon Missile Systems and also supports
a variety of other Customer & Supply Chain Institute initiatives
driving collaboration with Raytheon’s customers and suppliers.
Prior to Raytheon, Jennifer served as Vice President of Client
Development at Internal & External Communications (IEC) driving
several leadership, change, and knowledge capture projects with
clients such as Lexus-Toyota, Cisco Systems, Rockwell Collins,
and Kyocera Qualcomm. TARUN SHETH Senior Consultant, SHILPUTSI; Mumbai, India Shilputsi, the leading HR development consultancy in India, specialises in organizational restructuring, recruitment, training, introduction of personnel systems etc. to a large number of companies. Tarun has been mentioned as one of the "Indian Management Gurus" by Business World magazine. He is a faculty member at the Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad) and MS University, Baroda as well as a having taught at the Motorola University. He was President of the Bombay Management Association. Contact details: ANDREW SPENCER Head of Training and Development, Director Development, Institute of Directors; London, UK Andrew took up the role of Programme Manager of open courses for Director Development at the Institute of Directors in 2000. In the summer of 2003 he became Director Development’s Head of Training and Development, handling the core set of courses offered by The IoD in the UK, but also with responsibility for the development of relationships with equivalent organisations abroad wishing to develop director level training programmes. In particular, Andrew has responsibility for the IoD’s local UK centres, where the courses contributing to the Diploma in Company Direction are available. After graduating in physics from Liverpool in 1991, Andrew began
work as an author of training materials. Training delivery followed,
within higher education before moving to (the then) GEC Marconi
Avionics (now BAE Systems) delivering and organising management
and graduate development programmes as well as engineering and
IT training.
