Grow your own top talent
Research recently completed in Europe by the Center for Creative
Leadership demonstrates that with the war for talent showing
no sign of letting up, and increased worker mobility in Europe,
organisations of all kinds need to develop their own leaders
and keep them happy.
Developing Leadership Talent (DLT) will help anyone charged
with organisational learning or leadership development to design
and implement a systematic approach linked to key business
strategies and goals. DLT participants leave the three-day
session with a plan mapping out what needs to be developed,
who needs to be developed and how development will be implemented
and evaluated.
An additional benefit is ongoing access to CCL support resources
after the DLT session to ensure continued success.
Valerie Wallen is Director of Organisational Development at
the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism
in the USA, and was one of the first to experience DLT. "After
attending DLT, I immediately met with our agency’s Chief
of Staff and recapped the programme for her," said Wallen,
"The course work and discussion with colleagues across several
industries helped me to create a proposal for implementing
a comprehensive leadership development system for our agency.
A year later, we have three leadership projects and the first
phase of a talent management approach ready to roll out to
the agency."
Developing Leadership Talent participants receive two tools
for their own personal assessment prior to the workshop so
that they can experience first-hand the power of CCL’s
Assessment, Challenge and Support model. They also learn how
to apply measurement to demonstrate results and gain support
throughout their companies and organisations.
The first DLT session in Europe will be held in Brussels 22 – 24
January 2007.
