Andreas ter Woort has been named Regional Director for Belgium, the Netherlands and Nordic Countries at the Center for Creative Leadership Europe in response to increased demand for CCL’s leadership development programmes.
“Our business in Europe is growing by double digits every year,” says Michael Van Impe, Director, Markets and Custom Solutions at CCL Europe, “And Northern Europe is part of that trend. We needed a Regional Director with a mix of entrepreneurial savvy and dynamic personality to help us deliver the Center for Creative Leadership’s brand promise and exceed client expectations. Andreas fits the bill.”
A Dutch national, ter Woort also speaks fluent French, English and German, as well as basic Swedish, and has a background in business development and general management. He has worked for organisations from the USA, EU, and Asia, most recently starting up the European headquarters for a Japanese healthcare and medical devices company.
Ter Woort was attracted by CCL’s commitment to sustainable leadership. “Social, environmental and governance factors are increasingly relevant to the overall performance of any company,” says Andreas ter Woort. “I was intrigued by the way CCL was factoring CSR research into leadership development practice – looking at how to develop ethical leaders who can direct successful, socially responsible companies.”
He adds: “This is just one example of how the Center for Creative Leadership leverages all its activities – research, executive education, publishing, etc. – towards its mission of working for the benefit of society worldwide. I am really please to be part of the team in Europe.”
CCL Europe Managing Director Rudi Plettinx observes that Northern Europeans are almost spoiled for choice in executive education. “But more and more of our clients are asking us to not only deliver leadership development programmes, but also to act in a consultative capacity, as partners for their talent management strategy. Andreas’s experience on the front lines of business operations will be a differentiator for us in a competitive market.”
