CCL Helps to Develop the "Company of Tomorrow - Today"

19 February 2008

The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®) is helping launch a pioneering new program designed to advance corporate global responsibility.

CCL is one of four main partners behind “Developing the Company of Tomorrow – Today.” This action-learning program offers five to ten companies globally the chance to develop and implement innovative strategies that advance their business interests while also respecting natural and human resources.

The program is a product of the Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative, a joint project of the UN Global Compact and the European Foundation for Management Development. CCL will partner with The Foresight Group from Sweden, the Oasis School of Human Relations in the United Kingdom and Merryck & Co., an international business mentoring firm. Together, these partners will deliver this year-long program, which runs from May 2008 to April 2009 in a series of short modules.

The program will give companies the opportunity to develop manageable plans for addressing specific business challenges, study new ideas and approaches to corporate responsibility and build an enhanced global network through collaborating with other participating companies.

“This partnership is a natural fit with our ongoing CSR Best Practice research project,” says Rudi Plettinx, Managing Director CCL Europe. “We’ve gotten some interesting results from European companies with multinational operations and will be able to feed those findings into the new project with GRLI and EFMD.”
